AGAMI HERON TOUR (Nesting season) 

This tour is only available from May to early August. It takes place at a unique nesting site that hosts a large colony of over 1000 individuals. The location is📍Katira, near Río Celeste/Tenorio Volcano. 

It is a private property where the species is protected and studied. Tours are conducted with great respect for the species and its habitat, ensuring excellent opportunities for safe photography and observation of the Agami Herons.

 

Morning tour hours: 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Afternoon tour hours: 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

We also offer transportation service (not included) from your hotel to the tour location and back. Please reserve your date or spot in advance—free of charge.
